Album of the Day:
Toe Fat – Toe Fat (1970)

From the ashes of The Gods (the Marquee house band after The Rolling Stones) came Toe Fat, fronted by ex Rebel Rouser Cliff Bennett.

They lasted a couple of years before Ken Hensley and Lee Kerslake left to form Uriah Heep, and John Glascock joined Jethro Tull.

An eclectic mix of blues and progressive rock with glimpses of what is to come in future groups. The YouTube link shows the US cover art, where the naked couple on the UK cover have been replaced with a young goat. As you do.
