Auto Express has revealed the results of its Driver Power 2009 survey, based on more than 20,000 completed questionnaires.
They conclude that The Best Car in Britain is the Jaguar XF :

The Greening of Jaguar

Autocar reports that Jaguar have announced plans to produce an extended-range electric next-generation XJ luxury sedan as a result of receiving a £307 million loan from the European Union.
The company plans to bring the XJ Hybrid into production in 2011.
It will have a 30 mile all-electric range, and offer 57 mpg in generator mode.

Jaguar Sending Six Cars to 2009 Mille Miglia

Automobile Magazine and Motor Trend both report that Jaguar Motors and Jaguar Heritage Trust are sending a works supported team of six Classic Jaguars and a pair of modern Jaguars to the 2009 Mille Miglia in May. The team line-up is one D-type, four C-types, a Mark VII, plus an XFR and XKR.
Norman Dewis, former Jaguar test development driver and navigator for Stirling Moss in the 1952 Mille Miglia, said:
It will be history repeating itself.
